What's AQL?

AQL (Acceptance Quality Limit) is a sampling inspection method defined by the international standard ISO 2859-1. It uses statistical sampling to determine whether a batch is acceptable, rather than checking every piece — balancing efficiency and accuracy.

1. In-line QC

Conducted when production is approximately 30-50% complete. The purpose is early problem detection to avoid scrapping the entire batch. Inspection covers: material consistency, semi-finished product quality, process compliance.

2. Pre-shipment QC

Conducted after production is complete, packaging is finished, and before dispatch. This is the most critical inspection, sampling per AQL standards.

  • Visual inspection: color, surface quality, craft details
  • Function testing: pull force, elasticity, chew durability
  • Packaging inspection: labels, barcodes, inserts, packaging integrity
  • Dimensional measurement: key dimensions
  • Photo/video documentation: every inspection item documented
  • Start by answering the buyer's question clearly.

What a QC Report Should Contain

A qualified QC report should let you "see the quality status of the entire batch without leaving your office." Uniwings' QC reports include:

  • Order information: PO number, product name, quantity, production date
  • Sampling information: batch size, sample quantity, AQL level
  • Critical/Major/Minor defect counts and verdict
  • Photo documentation for each defect category
  • Function test results (with test video)
  • Packaging inspection results (with photos)
  • Final verdict: Approved / Conditionally approved / Rejected
